Sublime Text is a text editor and source editor for Windows. At first sight, you will notice something that is not usually on your regular text editors. The background is black and the text is white, and uses color coding for certain things. That is because Sublime Text aims at being a text editor with no graphical distractions for the user. Everything was designed so that you could just fire up the application and start writing. Obviously, Sublime Text is big on features and most of its users use it for several types of coding. There is a button at the bottom right hand of the screen that allows you to change the type of text that you are writing. When you do that, you will see that switching to HTML or Python brings about serious changes. The application is also big on shortcut (hot key) use. There are shortcuts for pretty much anything. There is also a map view on the left of the application that works as a constant preview of what you are writing. There aren't any tool bars, so anything you need to change will have to be done from the menus. There are a couple of nice features. I particularly like the full-screen mode. It blacks out everything on your screen and you are left alone with your imagination. The settings and the general options are only modifiable through a script options file. It is not ideal for beginner users, but the help file covers everything.
